Rooted in Legacy. Growing Community.
The Idlewild Community Chamber was created to serve as a welcoming anchor for businesses, nonprofits, creatives, and community initiatives invested in Idlewild’s future.
Idlewild holds a powerful place in American history as Black Eden—a destination built by and for Black families as a space for rest, entrepreneurship, creativity, and ownership. That legacy of self-determination and community economics continues to shape how we build today.
The Chamber was launched by Idlewild Community Alliance 1912 to strengthen Idlewild’s local economy through inclusion, collaboration, and community-centered growth. Rather than operating as a traditional, fee-heavy chamber, the Idlewild Community Chamber is designed to be accessible, supportive, and rooted in shared progress.
